Hello and welcome to a world where a beautiful woman nurtures three wonderfully intelligent, kind, well-behaved children and an amazing, faithful superdog. She cooks wonderful meals, keeps a pristine house and just loves ironing.

Good for her wherever she is, though she probably needs to read my blog to see how life is from an opposite perspective.

I’m thirty plus and have three kids. Ben is the oldest in his early teens. Chloe is heading that way and Timmy is the youngest. They are good hearted, exasperating, loving and annoying by turn; just normal kids really but amazingly unique and wonderful to me.

Ben thinks he knows everything and doesn’t like being seen with me in public.

Chloe has a particular style of her own which is completely unlike most of her friends; she likes picking up quirky outfits from charity shops as well as fashion shops and thinks my clothes sense is awful (it’s not at all!) Timmy is the most positive out of all of us but his fatal flaw is an absolute demented devotion to our fat Labrador Fubby. In his eyes Fubby can do no wrong whether she steals food, chews favourite clothes or toys or makes such a disgusting smell we all have to evacuate the house.

My career path was retarded by having kids too young and divorcing a poor man. I also enjoy being around for the kids, to an extent, so I do office administration or secretarial jobs for various temping agencies which can range from proof reading and copy writing (yay!) to filing and data input (boo!) The great thing is there is no long term commitment.

There is no long term commitment in my relationship with boyfriend Gary either, partly because although I love him, (I think) I don’t think he is THE one, partly because we annoy each other too much too often and partly because he does not see himself committing to family life with three kids.

He gets on with them on the whole apart from the fact he is not keen on dogs, a sore point with Timmy. He also thinks Chloe has too much freedom (mostly clothes wise,) much too much hassle to ever dare mention to her. He and Ben are fine on the whole but Ben does not like him staying for more than a couple of days- probably man territory stuff.

I have a brother who has a wife and two little girls, another of 25 who’s longest relationship lasted six months, parents who I can manage for about a day before they drive me nuts, and a band of friends of both sexes that keep me sane-ish. You’re bound to come across them in the blog and then you will see what I mean|!

I hope to do a degree and get a proper career at some point…but not this point.
